Dehesa de Cantillana
Cantillana is a farm located in the heart of the province of Cáceres, Extremadura.It has remained in the possession of the Gutiérrez de la Higuera family for over centuries and its traditions passed onto each generation.
The Iberian pig has always been farmed for its produce here as this habitat is the very best for the animal.
Over the last years, the breeding of our pigs has been improved to meet the highest quality standards and a stable production. We are members of AECERIBER (The Spanish Association of Select Iberian Pig Breeders) and in 2003 we were granted the guarantee of origin “Dehesa de Extremadura”, complying with its high sanitary and quality checks. Note that only 5% of Spanish hams qualify as ibérico ham.
